About me

I’m a editorial consultant, specializing in storytelling for social and environmental justice.

I bring more than a decade of experience communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences, as a professional writer, editor, and researcher. My editorial approach goes beyond providing tracked changes and comments. I provide you with strategic guidance that’s rooted in a lived-experience commitment to equitable knowledge production and social transformation.

Previously, I was a politics editor at The Conversation, US, where I collaborated with scholars to produce timely analysis on US politics, immigration policy, and social inequality. Prior to that, I worked on strategically communicating best practices for providing professional development to K-12 educators at the Southern Regional Education Board.

In 2022, I completed a Masters degree in philosophy, with a focus on environmental justice and feminist epistemologies at Concordia University in TiohtiĆ :ke/ Montreal.

My writing has been published in print, online, and in your inbox by the Miami Herald, The Conversation US, the Alexandria Times, How Stuff Works, Youth Today, 50 Shades of Black, and PRISM international.

My editing portfolio includes academic articles in the humanities and social sciences published in major peer-review journals, news and magazine articles, short stories, and personal essays.

I’m currently booking projects for Fall 2024!
